2. Our service
This version provides search filters, fictional broker profiles, a shortlist, side-by-side comparisons and forms for test enquiries and broker listing interest.
RateABroker does not currently act as a lender, mortgage broker, insurance broker, financial adviser or business sales agent. Content and filters provide general information about the directory; they are not recommendations based on your financial circumstances or an assessment of eligibility.
RateABroker does not guarantee a broker’s suitability, approval of finance, rates, insurance cover, transaction outcomes or response times. Real professional services, if introduced through the platform later, will be supplied under a separate agreement with the relevant provider.
3. Comparisons and listings
All eight profiles currently shown are fictional and marked as samples. Names, experience, specialities, locations and fees illustrate the interface only. They must not be treated as representations about real people or businesses.
The directory does not cover every broker or provider in Australia. You can sort sample profiles alphabetically or by their illustrative years of experience. The “Help me choose” feature filters by category and state; it does not score suitability or identify the best broker for you.
No broker is currently verified and no real reviews or star ratings are displayed. A future verification badge, if introduced, will explain what was checked and when; it will not be a guarantee of service quality. Before engaging a real broker, check their credentials, authorisations, fees and service terms directly.
4. Enquiries and broker interest
A test enquiry is saved to the platform only and is not delivered to a sample broker. It is not a finance application, credit check, insurance proposal or agreement to purchase a service.
A broker-interest submission records your interest in a future listing. It does not create an account, guarantee acceptance or begin a paid subscription. The planned three-month free listing offer is not active; any eventual offer will explain eligibility, duration and subsequent charges before you agree.
Provide accurate details that you are authorised to share. Do not enter bank account numbers, identity documents, passwords, tax file numbers, financial statements or sensitive personal information. The short collection notice beside each form explains the current use of your information.
5. Acceptable use
Use the preview lawfully and respect other people’s privacy and intellectual property. Do not impersonate others, submit spam or false information, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, upload malicious content or use the service to harass anyone.
Submit another person’s information only when you have their authority. Automated bulk collection and commercial reuse of platform content require prior permission.
6. Reviews and paid placements
Reviews, subscriptions, lead sales and paid placements are not enabled in this preview. No listing currently receives a paid ranking or sponsorship advantage.
Before these features are activated, RateABroker will publish the relevant participation, moderation and commercial terms. Future reviews should describe genuine first-hand experiences, disclose relevant connections or incentives, and avoid confidential information or false claims. Sponsored content must be identifiable, and payment must not be presented as an independent quality rating.
7. Content and external services
Platform branding, layout and content belong to their respective rights holders. You may use the preview for its intended purpose; no ownership rights are transferred.
You retain rights in information you submit. You allow RateABroker to store and use it for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. A broker-interest submission does not authorise public publication of a profile or use of your details in advertising.
External links, database and hosting services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. A link does not imply an endorsement. Access can be interrupted for maintenance or technical reasons; no uninterrupted availability is promised.
8. Consumer rights and responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees.
RateABroker’s responsibility is determined by applicable law and the actual service provided. These terms do not create a blanket exclusion of liability. Sample content is not a basis for a real financial or business decision; obtain appropriate advice and check information with the relevant provider.
9. Changes and access
Features and these draft pages may be updated as development progresses. The date and version shown on each page identify the current draft. Material changes to information handling will be explained before introducing the affected collection or disclosure.
Access may be restricted for security reasons or misuse. Any future public service, subscription or broker arrangement will require final terms and operator details before activation.
10. Questions and disputes
For questions during this development preview, contact the platform owner through the channel that provided your access. A dedicated contact address is to be confirmed before public launch.
Raise concerns with the operator first so they can be considered and addressed. Nothing in these draft terms prevents you from seeking assistance from an appropriate regulator, consumer protection body or court. A governing-law clause will be finalised with the legal operator’s details.
